Sandy A. has a daunting task in front of him, namely picking a new manager for the intrepid heroes of Queens.
I don't get any input but like most fans I'd like to see somebody with a little fire. Wally Backman fits that description - but he might be a little too incendiary and the Mets may want him to manage above Short Season A ball to show his mettle.
Clint Hurdle is another name being thrown about. Not sure my feelings there, since he seemed to lose the Rockies in the middle of the season last year.
Other names I see that get me nowhere: Hale, Oberkfell, Collins, Tuefel, etc.
