The Longest Day

Back here where I belong - but here's where it started:

Woke up at 3AM Saturday Tokyo Time (TT) (1PM Friday EST)

Left hotel at 5:30AM Saturday TT (3:30PM Friday EST)

Flight #1 - Osaka to Tokyo. This occured at 5:55PM Friday EST

Flight #2 - Tokyo to Dulles in DC. Twelve hours. Left Saturday TT at 11:30AM, landed Saturday EST at about 9:30AM

Flight #3 - the United Shuttled from DC to Newark. In air about 45 minutes.

Waitied 20 minutes for my bags at Newark, then had to deal with the Air Train. Bad today.

In sleep deprivation, made a wrong turn leaving airport, then sat in some traffic by the infamous Club Marlo in Irvington.

Walked into the old homestead at 3PM Saturday EST. Door to door that is about 24 hours. Add the 2 hours I woke up earlier and the extra 6 now and I have been up for approx. 32 hours.

Counting down HARD. Got a few hours to deal, then a few hours of sleep (averaging about 4.5 here) and it's back to the USA!!!!

I cannot wait.

The Plague

From the looks of all the surgical masks here in Japan, the country is in the middle of a pandemic. Yikes for me.

I'm trying to keep about 4 steps in fron of the germs.

I've also had my fill of rice for the next 3 months.

Upside Down

SoulSlam is in Japan. For about a week.

Upside down is how I feel. As I type it's 3pm in Osaka, but 1am back home, where I would be sleeping. But I'm not. So I'm trying to stay alive awake with the help of little cans of coffee. Boss Coffee. Good stuff.

Anyhoo, I'm here for another couple of days, then a sweet 12.5 hour flight to US. Hopefully they will have a couple of new movies on flight.
